Does Sealy Construction handle fire or water damage repair?
Yes. We rebuild the structure behind fire and water damage once mitigation is finished, working against an insurance timeline.
A mitigation company already dried out my water damage. Who rebuilds the structure now?
You can hire a different contractor for the rebuild, even if another company did the drying. Some restoration companies handle mitigation and reconstruction together, and for a straightforward repair that works fine. But when the structural rebuild is the hard part, such as fire-damaged trusses, rotted floor joists, or new framing that has to tie into an older structure, it's specialist work. That's the part we do.
My floor feels soft or bouncy after water damage. Does the frame need to be replaced?
Possibly. Get someone to look before it gets worse, because soft or bouncy flooring after water damage often means the joists underneath have started to rot or lose strength. We assess the structure and replace only what needs replacing. Call 403-889-0369 to talk it through.
Can I choose my own contractor, or do I have to use the one my insurance company suggests?
You can choose. Your insurer may suggest a vendor from its own network, but in most cases you aren't required to use it, and you can bring in whoever you trust with the work. Call us if you want to talk through how that works for your situation.
Does Sealy Construction work directly with insurance companies?
No. The restoration company the insurer brings in hires us, and we handle the structural rebuild once their mitigation work is done. That's the bulk of our restoration work, and it runs through ongoing partnerships with Calgary's major restoration companies. We aren't an insurance-assigned vendor.
Does Sealy Construction handle emergencies, like a vehicle hitting a building?
